Craigellachie distillery is situated in Aberlour near the village of Craigellachie, Speyside. It was built in 1891 for Sir Peter Mackie (White Horse Distillers) and Alexander Edward. Edward sold his shares to Mackie in 1900 and thus leaving Craigellachie in White Horse Distillers ownership where it was used as the main whisky in the blends Mackie’s Old Smuggler and Old Gaelic. Only a handful of distillery bottlings were released over the years and today is primarily used in Dewar's blended whisky.
