Bottled By: Signatory Vintage 70cl / 53.4%
Signatory Vintage has to be up there with the best of the independent bottlers in the industry and to celebrate the 30th Anniversary they have released a collection of exceptional bottlings from many sought after distilleries...
... Established in 1998 by Andrew Symington, Signatory Vintage is now regarded as one of the most dynamic, flexible and innovative bottlers in the industry. Signatory bottle whiskies across a number of ranges such as Cask Strength and Un-Chill Filtered collections.
This Cragganmore was distilled in 1985 and aged for 33 years in hogshead #1241 before being bottled in 2018 with a yield of just 199 bottles.
This bottling invites us to discover a palette of flavours and aromas in constant movement which has no qualms in retracing its steps to gain more richness and concentration.
The bottle is presented in a black lacker box with 2 Signatory Vintage branded Glencairn glasses.
The Cragganmore distillery was founded in 1869 and is equipped with four flat-topped stills whose T-shaped lyne arms encourage the reflux of part of the alcohol vapours, which are then re-distilled. This unique shape creates a mellow but complex spirit.
