An old litre bottle of Macallan Elegancia 12-year-old, bottled sometime after 2004, when the vintage statements were dropped, and before 2008 which was the last Elegancia bottling.
Elegancia was a travel retail exclusive Macallan bottled between 2002-2008. This was a slightly lighter style of Macallan 12-year-old due to the use of Fino as well as Oloroso sherry casks, and stylistically sits somewhere between the old Macallan heavy sherry cask style and the lighter Fine Oak series.
