This 11-year-old Linkwood 2012 matured in a first fill ex-bourbon barrel 306252, which yielded just 216 bottles at its phenomenal cask strength of 60.2%. Young bourbon cask Linkwoods are usually as clean as they come, and swim very well with added water, so this looks like great value.

I know I bought a cask strength whisky but was expecting a nice taste but the strength overpowered the flavor, I found it harsh, but I am not a whiskey conasur. I also bought the secret Orkney signatory cask strength and that was very nice.
