Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled By: Signatory Vintage 70cl / 42%
Signatory Vintage has to be up there with the best of the independent bottlers in the industry and to celebrate the 30th Anniversary they have released a collection of exceptional bottlings from many sought after distilleries.
This Glencraig was distilled in 1976 and aged for 42 years in ex-bourbon cask #4283 before being bottled in 2018 with a yield of just 176 bottles.
The bottle is presented in a black lacker box with 2 Signatory Vintage branded Glencairn glasses.
From 1851 to 1981 Glenburgie distillery was equipped with two Lomond stills that were used to produce a single malt called Glencraig. Glencraig is an increasingly hard to find single malt produced by Hiram Walker at Glenburgie as it was intended to be used as a different style of malt for their blends such as Ballantine's Finest. This example is full of fresh and dried fruit on the nose and on the palate, you have both herbaceous, rustic and maritime flavours - Stunning!
