This Symington’s Choice 27-year-old Linkwood 1997 came from single cask 20/3, a first fill Oloroso sherry hogshead that yielded just 132 bottles at its gutsy natural cask strength of 55.7%. Linkwood is a technically excellent spirit that ages extremely well in both ex-bourbon and sherry casks for very extended periods - this one should be just reaching its peak.
