This looks like an another absolute peach from Morrison Distillers - a limited edition single vintage cask strength version of their sherry cask matured Old Perth blended malt whisky.
As ever, the exact distilleries constituting this blended malt whisky from Old Perth remain a secret, but given that it's made with 1996 vintage whiskies matured in sherry casks and bottled at a hearty 55.2% after around 25 years of ageing this looks a bargain and is going to be very hard to resist.

An exciting deep rich brown coloured liquid.
A compote of fruit together with dried grapes is lovely on the tongue.
Nicely sweetened syrup is evident too.

I know I bought a cask strength whisky but was expecting a nice taste but the strength overpowered the flavor, I found it harsh, but I am not a whiskey conasur. I also bought the secret Orkney signatory cask strength and that was very nice.
