Kinclaith is one of thirty-three lost distilleries in the city of Glasgow. It was produced at the Strathclyde complex from 1957 until it closed in 1975. Between 1976-1977 the distillery was dismantled to make room for an extension to the grain and neutral spirits production area. There has never been an official release of Kinclaith and the majority produced contributed to blended whiskies such as Long John.
In 2009 Signatory Vintage bottled this incredibly rare 40 year old single malt at a natural cask strength of 47.3% with just 217 bottles.
