Description

Lowland Single Grain Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Douglas Laing 70cl / 54.1%

There seems to be a little uplift in the amount of interesting new single grain whiskies being released by indie bottlers, which of course we're very happy to see.

This is an unusual one from Douglas Laing, a 2004 vintage Port Dundas (Diageo's closed Glasgow grain distillery) that was finished in a Pedro Ximenez sherry cask, DL14564. This Port Dundas 2004 was bottled for Douglas Laing's Old Particular series in 2020 as a 16-year-old at 54.1%, yielding 343 bottles of Lowland single grain whisky that is sure to appeal to sweet-toothed whisky fans.
