Description

Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: The Alistair Walker Whisky Company 70cl / 57.8%

For a distillery with a 4 million litre capacity, indie bottlings of Royal Brackla are lamentably rare. That's hardly surprising given that Brackla's day job is supplying top notch Highland single malt whisky for owner Dewar's blends, but it's frustrating for curious single malt fans.

We're delighted, therefore, to have got our hands on a few bottles of this 14-year-old Royal Brackla 2006, bottled at a chunky 57.8% by Alistair Walker Whisky Co's Infrequent Flyers in early 2021.

What's particularly intriguing about this Royal Brackla is that it's been finished in a Chinquapin Oak cask, a variety of American white oak said to give more toffee, fruitiness and tannin to any whisky it encounters.
