This 12-year-old Longmorn 2012 came from single cask 916, a bourbon barrel cask that yielded 215 bottles at a very hefty natural cask strength of 58.3%. Longmorn's pristine spirit is some of the best in the business and can reach very impressive levels of complexity even at 12 years old, so this should be a treat.

I know I bought a cask strength whisky but was expecting a nice taste but the strength overpowered the flavor, I found it harsh, but I am not a whiskey conasur. I also bought the secret Orkney signatory cask strength and that was very nice.
