This 12-year-old Ardmore 2012 came from a small batch of second fill bourbon barrels that previously held Islay (LA) single malt whisky, and was released as #21 in the 100 Proof Editions range. With its Islay cask maturation enhancing its phenolic character, this whisky offers incredible value for smoke enthusiasts. A must-try for any Ardmore fans!

An exciting deep rich brown coloured liquid.
A compote of fruit together with dried grapes is lovely on the tongue.
Nicely sweetened syrup is evident too.

I know I bought a cask strength whisky but was expecting a nice taste but the strength overpowered the flavor, I found it harsh, but I am not a whiskey conasur. I also bought the secret Orkney signatory cask strength and that was very nice.
