Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Douglas Laing 70cl / 48.4%
This looks very promising, a 2007 Macduff finished in a Pedro Ximenez sherry cask before bottling as a 13-year-old in 2020 for the Old Particular series at their standard 48.4%.
We're big fans of Douglas Laing's Old Particular range and Macduff (aka Glen Deveron) is a super-consistent distillery and a very sherry-friendly spirit - this should be a treat.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Rich, fresh and still damp dark fruit cake, gently spiced with marinated sultanas and orange.
Palate: Wonderfully (muscovado) sugary, with singed orange zest, dates, maple syrup, and barley.
Finish: Shows all those same qualities, with subtle vanilla hues, a hint of tobacco and mint.
