Highland Single Grain Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Douglas Laing 70cl / 51.5%
A 26-year-old Loch Lomond 1995 single grain whisky bottled in 2022 without colouring or chill filtration by Douglas Laing for their Old Particular series.
This Old Particular Loch Lomond 1995 26-year-old grain whisky came from cask DL15894, a refill hogshead that yielded 235 bottles at 51.5%, a higher than normal bottling strength for the Old Particular range, whose standard strength is 48.4%. Loch Lomond is enjoying unprecedented (and well deserved) popularity at the moment, so this will be fascinating stuff.

Official Tasting Notes
Nose: Fragrantly sweet with a floral hue amongst the cereal, vanilla, honey and gentle spice.
Palate: As mellow and syrupy as the nose suggests, plus citrus, molasses and caramel biscuits.
Finish: All those flavours coalesce wonderfully – nothing dominates except for its smoothness.
