Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Douglas Laing 70cl / 48.4%
Most malt fans are familiar only with Dailuaine's heavily-sherried Flora & Fauna edition, one of only a handful official bottlings in the last few decades. Any adventurous Speyside fans wishing to try something a little different, though, are well-advised to search out ex-bourbon casks or, even better, refill hoggies of this underrated Speyside distillery.
This is one of the latter, a single refill hogshead of Dailuaine 2006, bottled as a 15-year-old in 2021 by Douglas Laing for the Old Particular series at their favoured 48.4%. At this very reasonable price it's well worth a punt.
