Bottled by: Douglas Laing 70cl / 48.4%
A 15-year-old Craigellachie 2007 bottled in 2022 from a single cask without colouring or chill filtration by Douglas Laing for their excellent Old Particular series.
This Craigellachie 2007 15-year-old came from Cask DL15590, a refill hogshead perfectly suited to show off the distillery's gentle Speyside charms, yielding 299 bottles at the Old Particular standard strength of 48.4%.
A little over a decade ago indie Craigellachies were extremely thin on the ground but in the last few years there's been a lot of new bottlings - great news for fans of this distillery's subtle, elegant, underrated whisky.

Nose: Rich, round and full of barley sweetness, gently spiced hues and grist.
Palate: Opens with vanilla toffee and honey ahead of a piquant yet malted style.
Finish: Merges the vanilla, cereal and honey to create a barley sugar hit.
