This Caol Ila 10-year-old has been bottled from a single refill hogshead of the 2011 vintage, yielding 367 bottles at the company's preferred strength of 48.4%. A timely reminder to us all to keep our chins up with a toast to better days ahead.

Nose: Fresh, salty oceanic air, seaweed and puffs of sweet peat smoke.
Palate: Gently charred oak and BBQ meat with kiln dried barley showing.
Finish: Long, with the smoke now lingering on.
