old angus liqueur scotch whisky - early 1940s

Lot ID: 0820/369

1 bottle old angus liqueur blended scotch whisky. bottled early 1940s. train & mcintyre ltd. no box. no capacity stated although equal to 75cl. no strength stated. level top shoulder. some ageing to label, otherwise good condition.  stopper cork with branded foil seal that reads 'a noble scotch gentle as a lamb'. interestingly there is a paper band around the seal that states ' war risks necessitate bottling any part u.k'. if i am correct, this means there was a free pass to bottle these anywhere in the uk due to the wartime struggles instead of been constrained to bottle in scotland. and i would assume ww2.
