Auchroisk 2006-2019 | 13 Year Old | Infrequent Flyers
Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: The Alistair Walker Whisky Company 70cl / 58.3%
Release number 14 is an Auchroisk that was distilled in 2006 and aged in a single hogshead #801068 until it was bottled 13 years later at a natural cask strength of 58.3% with a yield of just 273 bottles
The little known Auchroisk distillery was founded in 1972 by Justerini & Brooks after a well (Dorie's well) was discovered and found to have water similar to that at Glen Spey. The first single malt was produced in 1978 and the first single malt bottled in 1986 and branded as "The Singleton".
The Infrequent Flyers Series is the brainchild of Alistair Walker and concentrates on some of the lesser-known distilleries in Scotland.
After spending almost 20 years in the whisky industry working at various distilleries and more recently working alongside his father, Billy, at the Benriach Distillery group he has gone it alone and produced this fantastic range.
