World-renowned Glasgow-based Douglas Laing & Co independent bottlers and blenders.
The company was first established in 1948 by the father of Fred and Stewart Laing.
Fred and Stewart have now been in charge for over 25 years and upheld the tradition their farther laid down back in 1948.
They have not just sat on their fathers laurels but have successfully expanded the Douglas Laing Range into the world market, using some of the vast stocks of Single Malt Whisky built up over the last 50 years..

PROBABLY SPEYSIDE’S FINEST 43 YEAR OLD
Nose : Orange pith, spice, cedar-wood plus late leaf smoke.
Palate: Carries a big peppery spice hit + a mulled wine style.
Finish: Soft and mellow with dried fruit/jam + gingerbread. (Fred)

Old Malt Cask a preferred strength of 50% alc/vol (referred to as the Golden Strength by old die hards) is maintained as we wholeheartedly believe this strength creates a fine, round, full quality for various Malts when taken “neat.”

691 bottles of this one came from a refill butt which is always a good cask for Laphroaig, it basically means more peat, more medicine and more coastal zing. All the things you love if you love Laphroaig. More Details
A rather juicy looking 1982 Linkwood from Douglas Laing. Expect plenty shortbread, ginger, roses, honey and fruits. Linkwood is a typically consistent whisky and this one looks like a great mid aged example. More Details

There have been quite a few well aged Strathmills popping up over the last couple of years and, unsurprisingly enough, they are all pretty fantastic. Like most lighter spirits they age very well to a luscious fruity glory. A fantastic price for a 36 year old whisky. More Details
