A really classy oldish Bunna from the late seventies. Unlike the latter sixties distillatons this is still pretty fresh and shows remarkably restrained wood contact. Syrupy honey, bright saline notes and resinous, citrus fruit notes all come bubbling through in spades. A luscious, fresh and perilously drinkable whisky.
This Bunnahabhain bottled by Queen of the Moorlands for their Rare Cask series. It was distilled in 1976, matured in cask number 6396 and bottled in 2008 with an outrun of only 120 bottles at 46.5% Vol.
