Vinho Moscatel is a sweet, fortified wine produced in the Setubal Peninsual region just south of Lisbon. The wine is aged in 225 litre barriques and these same casks have been used to create this special finish. Following a maturation of 8 years in traditional oak casks the Arran in this bottle was matured for a further 10 months in these Moscatel casks to add a new dimension to the whisky. The end result is a beautifully balanced single malt with vibrant fruity character.
