Dalmore Whisky

Dalmore distillery was established in 1839

The distillery sits on the shores of the Cromarty Firth and is positioned opposite the Black Isle. The name is half Gaelic and half ancient Norse

In 1886 the distillery was bought by the Mackenzie family and the "twelve pointer stag" which adorns each and every bottle of Dalmore to this day was introduced from the Mackenzies clan crest.

The Mackenzies retained ownership until 1960 when it was bought by the Glasgow based Whyte & Mackay Group.

Dalmore is a satisfying whisky, with a full flavour and body. Its long, lingering, generous aftertaste makes it a classic Highland malt. Pure, clean water taken from the local River Alness is used to create The Dalmore in the time-honoured way
