Ardbeg is one of, if not the most heavily peated whiskies produced in Scotland. Ardbeg’s pure spring water comes from Loch Uigeadail via another Loch called Arigh nam Beist.
The core of the range is now the standard Ardbeg 10 year-old, also voted whisky of the world 2008. Quite sweet on the nose, with soft peat, carbolic soap and Arbroath smokies. Intense yet quite delicate on the palate, with burning peats and dried fruit, followed by sweeter notes of malt and a touch of liquorice. Extremely long and smoky in the finish, with a fine balance of cereal sweetness and dry peat notes.
We also have several vintage and single cask bottlings available.
